Andrea Jenkins Lecture Series, Twin Cities
The Andrea Jenkins Lecture Series at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities is an annual lecture that honors Andrea Jenkins and works to center the voices of queer and trans people of color. This series was created in 2017 by the National Center for Gender Spectrum Health and the Gender and Sexuality Center for Queer and Trans Life. Each year Andrea Jenkins selects one or more artists, performers, or speakers to illuminate pressing issues and topics connected to the lives of transgender and queer people of color.

Tongues Untied, Twin Cities
Tongues Untied is a space by and for People of Color who identify as LGBTQIA and/or Same-Gender-Loving. Named after the famous documentary "Tongues Untied" by Marlon Riggs & Essex Hemphill, the group serves to connect students, staff, faculty and the Twin Cities community by holding discussion groups that focus on how race, sexuality and gender impact our lived experiences. This Twin Cities program is designed to enhance and center the experiences of queer indigenous people and people of color.

Lavender House: LGBTQIA+ Living-Learning Community, Twin Cities
Lavender House is open to any students who identify with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, queer, Two Spirit, intersex, and asexual (or LGBTQIA+) community on the Twin Cities campus. Students in this Living Learning Community are able to explore and express their whole selves, including their gender identities, expressions, and sexuality in a safe and affirming environment.

Gender Open Housing available for students
Gender Open Housing (UMN Twin Cities) aims to provide an option for students who would feel more comfortable living with someone outside of their designated sex and/or someone with similar gender identity. There is no cost associated with this option, and students are only assigned to Gender Open spaces if they request it on their housing application.

MHealth Fairview Sexual and Gender Health Clinic's approach to transgender health care is comprehensive and provides clients with a “whole self” approach to healthcare. They offer individual, group, and family psychotherapy, psychiatry services, specialty medical care, hormone therapy, consultation and advocacy about gender issues, and referrals for surgical interventions.
